How to stay motivated about studying hard ...
Hmmmmm.... This "How to stay motivated about studying hard ..." is the question in most of the people who need to study. I have collected some ways to stay motivated to study, have a look, am sure those will be beneficial to most of you too...
{ At the begining of the semister we really work hard, being energized from summer break, and we make mostly A's. After 2 weeks, I'm tired from the long nights of over-concentrated studying, added with a new confidence in myself from the good grades, so I slack off and cram a lot instead--making mostly B's. I keep doing that until I make a C, or end up with some nastly failing grade on a test. (I have made a 97 on a test once only to make a 53 on the next one weeks later.)Then, it's like a wake-up call and I strive to make A's again. As we know without consistant performance, we can't compete. So I looked for ways on how I might motivate myself, EVERYDAY, to study like I just failed a test--without the experience. There are some daily ritual we need to go through or something we could do... }
Here it go...
}}}} Please read the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens Book. Not only will you be motivated to study, but you'll know why you're motivated.
Here's a rundown:1. Be Proactive: recognize that you slack off after a good test, plan for it, write a detailed note of what happens when you slack off (you fail the next test, you lose sleep cramming). Then commit yourself to not procrastinating (tell a friend to keep you on your toes, or just make a promise to yourself--sometimes just an oath keeps us in line)2. Begin with the End in Mind: See that A. Feel it. Now, work backwards on how you get there. (Set up regular study times, work with someone if you have to, make the goal smaller so that it's less daunting)3. Put First things First: Is your study time important? More important than fun with friends? More important than family time? More important than eating? (probably not, but you get the point. If you put a list of priorities next to your desk, or on your person, you'll be stronger on your conviction to study. Plus, you'll get more respect from those that you have to put aside for studying; conversely, if you feel studying can be skipped just this once, you won't feel guilty....... you'll know in your heart you need the break, but you're still on track.)
That's the 1st three Habits and I bet even those 3 will improve your outlook.
Here's another tip: remember that High from getting a good grade? every time you're going to let your studies slide....... remember that feeling and how much you want to feel it again. Let yourself know that you only get that feeling with hard work.... and then get to work!

Human motivation is a response that our body has to someform of either internal or external stimulation.
In simple terms, it means that our body is responding tostimulation. An example is that we are motivated to eatsomething because we are hungry. We are directing abehavior to a particular goal. Humans need to be motivatedto do just about anything in life. That is why it is soImportant to set goals.
Sure, we may not need to set a goal to eat, sleep or drink. Those are internal stimulations. But sometimes in life wefind that we need to motivate ourselves to do otherimportant functions in life.
Some of these include: losing weight, exercising, quittingsmoking, cleaning the house, doing homework or finding ajob. Those are just to mention a few.
The bottom line is, we need to set goals to do some ofthese things. Without goals, we really can't begin to getmotivated. As humans, we need to have the reason to dosomething. That is how our brain works.
There are three basic types of personalitiesthat determine human motivation.
1. The need for achievement is the drive to excel at thingsand strive to succeed. This type is in it for thecompetition only.
2. The need for power is the desire to make people behave acertain way with the power of human motivation. This typeof person is in it for the power and could care less aboutthe competition.
3. The need for affiliation is the strong needs for closeinterpersonal relationships with others. This type ofperson is in it for friends. They will cooperate just tohave the social aspect.
These are all types of personalities that are part of humanmotivation. It is what drives us to think the way we thinkand desire the things that we desire.
Depending on which human motivation type you are willdetermine what motivates you. There can also be acombination of two or three to make up someone'spersonality.
Everyone is different in that different things motivateeach and every one of us. In order to get motivated, oneneeds to first set goals out in front of them to meet. Theyneed to be goals that are within reach.
Then after the goals have been set down, it is time to geta plan on what it will take to meet your goals. Write itdown and prioritize the things that need to be done inorder to achieve this motivation.
The final stage to human motivation is to make a commitmentto keep focused on the goals. Remember, motivation is whatdrives us all. We need to have it to achieve anything.
Although some lucky people seem to be born highlymotivated, if you are of at least average intelligence youcan learn how to be motivated. No matter how unmotivatedyou have been up to now you can still become a winner.
A winner is simply someone who
utilizes their resources and
brain power to their best
advantage while maintaining
a positive motivation and
attitude. If you have ever
wished to be a winner, look
for the motivation and attitude
to help you succeed...

OK Students, i might be able to help u out in this..
first of all u gotta clear up in your head what exactly do u want.
now your goal here is to achieve straight A's.first, u can start by making inspirational notes...u can either make them big or just small ones n stick them on your study table. every time your mind wanders, you'll be brought back to ur books with the help of these notes.
Second thing u can do is to tell yourself stuff like "this is achievable!i can!i will!i shall achieve it!"...u have to learn to scold yourself when u feel tat u aren't paying too much attention.
Thirdly..start preparing for these exams before hand....so u need to make a time schedule for that..allocate time to each subjects n perhaps u can give more attention to the subject which u find more tough than others.
Fourth...the night before the actual exam...eat early...n try to sleep atleast 5-6 hours...tats important coz u dont wanna sleep during ur exams alrite?...if u have prob dozing off try to repeat God's name ..u will get sleep..

Remember that every grade you get counts. You could generally do it two ways, depending on how your tests are given. Either study a bit (like 30 min for each class every day) or a lot 2 days/ 1 day before tests (like 2-3 or 4-5 hours depending on the subject).
Also, it's really important to listen VERY carefully in class. Most of the time, teachers already talk about everything on tests so if you listen carefully, you can just remember and not have to study that much.
This probably won't work but for me personally, I've learned to get very mad/upset at myself when I get a bad grade on a test. So, in order not to get that, I just motivate myself by studying a lot.
When you study, take 10 minute breaks every once in a while so you don't get over frustrated. Excercising or watching tv, reading can make a big difference if you're really tired of school.
Although it may be hard, but learn to like to study. Then you'll be really motivated.Hope this helps!

Many distance learners agree that the most difficult part of studying online is staying motivated. Because students must take the initiative to complete their courses completely on their own, without the physical presence of teachers and other peers, many students find it easy to become distracted and discouraged in their work. Don’t let this happen to you – plan ways for yourself to stay motivated before you’re tempted to stray from your books. Use these five motivational tips to stay on task:
1. Connect with your classmates. Sure, ¨virtual people¨ may be hard to connect with, but making an effort to actually get to know your classmates can be rewarding. If you find students from your area, consider a physical study group at a restraint or bookstore. If not, try to create an online support group of peers. They’ll appreciate having someone to keep them on track in their work and you’ll reap the benefits of being accountable as well.
2. Discuss what you learn. Find a friend or relative who has similar interests or who would enjoy hearing about your studies and let them know what’s going on in your classes. You’ll understand the material better when you have a chance to explain it out loud and will be motivated to stay on task in order to keep up with the conversation.
3. Chart your progress. Don’t rely on campus counsellors; design your own map of completed classes and post it somewhere that is visible daily. There’s a certain satisfaction that comes with watching your goals be accomplished. When times get hard, you can always turn to your chart and see how far you’ve come.
4. Reward yourself. You get rewarded for good credit and safe driving, why shouldn’t you reward yourself for doing well in your coursework. Whether it be a night on the town, a new dress, or even a new car, setting up a reward system just may be the extra push you need to succeed. If you stick by your system, you may find yourself pleasantly surprised.
5. Take time for fun. If you’re spending all your time working, studying, and watching after the kids, you’ll likely suffer in all areas. Everyone needs some down time to re-group. So, set aside a little time every week for a favorite activity. You’ll be more productive when you return to your work.

May be for professionals who need to keep them updated with new technologies / anything new / new subjects etc ....Ten tips for staying motivated in your study time. Putting these few ideas into
practice can help you achieve your goals and keep you focused
1. Develop realistic expectations for yourself; set your own goals and develop a positive attitude towards learning and
earning your qualifications.
2. List your motivators for achieving your academic goals: extrinsic (grades, parents, money), intrinsic (mastery of material,
desire to learn) and other personal reasons.
3. Make a commitment as to when you will work on an assignment. Be specific about when you want to complete it and put
the date for starting the assignment on your calendar where you will see it daily. Then stick to your commitment.
4. Break down big assignments into smaller parts and work on the assignment a little at a time; set dates for completing each
part.
5. If you are finding assignments difficult, complete small, easier tasks first in order to build your confidence.
6. Ask for help if you don’t understand an assignment. Obtaining clarification from a lecturer or tutor may put you back on
the right track and decrease frustration.
7. Find ways to relate class material and assignments to your life or future career.
8. Find ways to deal with distracting personal problems that are making it difficult for you to focus on your academic work.
9. Minimize self-defeating behaviors and thoughts (e.g., procrastination, low confidence, wanting a “perfect” product) which
may impeding academic achievement. Look for small improvements and small successes, as you change your behaviors.
10. Reward yourself when you finish each task and complete an assignment. Feel good about what you have accomplished, don’t just focus on what’s left to complete.

Dil de diya hai, jaan tumhe denge...
Beautiful song...
Dil de diya hai, jaan tumhe denge
Ho, dil de diya hai, jaan tumhe denge
Daga nahin karenge sanam
Dil de diya hai, jaan tumhe denge
Daga nahin karenge sanam
Ho, rab di kasam yaara rab di kasam
(Dil de diya hai, jaan tumhe denge
Daga nahin karenge sanam) - 2
(Rukh zindagi ne mod liya kaisa
Humne socha nahin tha kabhi aisa) - 2
Aata nahin yakeen kya se kya ho gaya
Kis tarha main tumse bevafa ho gaya
Insaaf kar do, mujhe maaf kar do
Itna hi kar do karam
Dil de diya hai, jaan tumhe denge
Daga nahin karenge sanam
(Aawaargi mein ban gaya deewaana
Maine kyoon saadgi ko nahin jaana) - 2
Chaahat yahi hai ke is kadar pyaar doon
Kadmon mein tere main do jahaan waar doon
Chain mera le lo, khushi meri le lo
De do mujhe de do saare gham
Dil de diya hai, jaan tumhe denge
Daga nahin karenge sanam
(Mere ashq keh rahe meri kahaani
Inhe samjho na tum sirf paani) - 2
Ro roke aansuon ke daag dhool jaayenge
In mein vafa ke rang aaj ghul jaayenge
Paas tum rahogi, bhool ab na hogi
Karoonga na tum pe sitam
Dil de diya hai, jaan tumhe denge
